My regular passers through will notice that I have succumbed to a new blogger template, only so I can have access to my archived blogs...also a shakeup was in order. Blogger has made it impossible to not use one of their 'gadgets' so my laundry list of blogging friend had to entered individually.

I last changed my blog style Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003 and lost all my previous posts...it's a shame, considering the reason I changed this time was to have access to all my tired old thoughts.

So what to do now that social networking has replaced blogging. Tweets and texts have overpowered complete thoughts. I was never really a frequent blogger, but a frequent blog reader of our community. Now most of us have changed from atrocity of MySpace to the organized splendor of Facebook. Is the blog dead? Is our community less vibrant now that we don't share as much online in blogs? I think so. I miss Cheryl's quirky look at basically everything and I loved reading Kelly Parkers random thoughts. So many great thinkers and writers have lost the time it takes to self indulge. Blogging is a discipline to say the least and it does take time to express oneself deftly. I can barely concentrate for 10 minutes let alone the time it takes to tell a story.

So long live the blog, get back in the saddle and write some prose.
